any info appreciated (as scooters 2 stroke new to me)
got a 64 vespa spotique with a 87 px200e engine from cold or after standing first kick, running, when hot can take up to 10 kicks to run also seems ok thru gears but up in 4th it'l do 45 sometimes 50 is this norm and i seem to lose a lot (rear seat, front shock bolt etc)
74 lambretta LI 150 just been fully rebuilt get to 40 after a while,up hill with help of my legs, so put a 30mm oko carb on drank juice with a little more go changed to a 24mm oko seems ok, still a little problem with jetting (spitting fuel) but 45 tops. i've heard of people cruising 65-70 how do i get there.
my 64 Li 150 special totally standard seems more ridable than the other 2 (why have i stripped it down to paint and rebuild).

Hi, Only my second  post on here, including  my intro, and i like  yourself  am not up on two  strokes, And have been Bike orientated for years, What has changed since  my  intro  where i mentioned i was looking  for a scooter, is,  i now have one, Its a lambretta GP200 1985 S.i.L, with 1,500 mls  on it from its renovation. by resurection scooters 3 years ago and  has  had a few extra chrome bits and bobs  placed on by the previous owner, As far as i know, and taking his word on the matter the engine was new at regestration by resurection scooters  and is bog standard.
I am  no light weight. " Putting it politely" and i have had it up to. Just a smidge under 70, thats  on the clock mind. Thats  on a flat, No head wind  and time  to let it  build, Its  not full throttle, cos i dont  want to thrapse it, But bringing the throttle quickly on to full, did nothing for any increase  in speed, just noise, I would  say cruise is high 50s  to  62-5 , roughly. Having  had many high horsepower bikes i was a little  dissapointed at first with the pulling  power from low  down  in the revs, Till i thought  about it and  changed my riding style. It has according to the  fugures  i have on it, Only 11 bhp  so i shouldnt  expect much low  down power, it  does  however  come to life  when the revs are  built  in any gear bar  4th  which seems more of an overdrive. As with my 2strokes of the mid 70's it  seems happier  being wound  up  a  bit. oh and one more thing its a  sterling full bore exhaust on it,  Which he fitted. Dont know if  `that  as any baring on it at all .  Hope my findings  are  of  some help in establishing  a norm for  you.

Regards  to all
Dave
